The barn was built around the turn of the century and was originally part the farm next door. It was used for some period of time for storage and as the pictures show needed extensive restoration to bring it up to it's present condition.

The pictures below show the various stages of renovation culminating in it's fully restored state that you see on the home page of this website.

This is the barn as it stood before the restoration started.

Cleared of everything you can now see the soil floor. The work can now begin in earnest

Work  to strip the outside boarding  is now complete, the roof is in progress and the mammoth task of repairing the frame begins.

The outside structure finished work can now begin to create the rooms inside.

The barn is now 90% finished and ready to move into.

A lot of hard work but worth it.
